Alidu Issah was named Player of the Match after scoring twice in Ghanas Black Starlets 3-1 win over Benin at the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship.
The striker struck twice inside the opening eight minutes to give Ghana a commanding early lead and set up a convincing victory over their Beninese opponents.
Issah opened the scoring four minutes into the match, finishing a fast start from the Black Starlets. He doubled the advantage another four minutes later, putting Coach Kassim Ocanseys side firmly in control.
His clinical finishing and attacking threat were central to Ghanas success as they secured all three points and strengthened their position in the regional competition.
The Player of the Match award acknowledged Issahs decisive contribution, with his brace proving the difference during the opening stages of the contest.
The Black Starlets will now aim to maintain that momentum as they pursue qualification for the 2027 U17 Africa Cup of Nations through the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship.
